Ridgemill estate is located in the heart of the Granite Belt in Queensland’s premium wine growing region. The vineyard is orientated north to south to make the most of the sun’s rays to ripen the bunches slowly and evenly to produce distinctive, rich and flavoursome wines from the cool climate region. Their trademark is their fortified wines.
Make a stop at Mt Stirling Olives to sample the olive range including Spanish Manzanillos spiced with herbs, chilli and garlic, Greek Kalamatas, Salted and Sundried Olives, Jumbo Kalamatas, Cracked Turkish Style Olives and Jim’s latest inclusion, the Manzanillo bathed in Coriander and Garlic. The range has now expanded to include rich and fruity extra virgin cold pressed olive oils. This also includes oils infused with the natural flavours of truffle, lemon myrtle, bush lime, garlic and chili. For the sweet tooth head to the Fudge cottage, where there is over twenty five flavours to choose from.
Rumbalara Estate has a comprehensive range of wine styles to choose from, making it an ideal stop on your tour of the area. Rumbalara wines are fruity, aromatic and easy to drink. This wine style has proven to be very popular with Rumbalara customers. Their infamous Impi Cream is not to be missed.
The fourth leg of this remarkable experience takes you to Hidden Creek. A wine tasting and scrumptious two course meal awaits you. Their knowledgeable staff will take you through their extensive list of wines, featuring elegant whites, serious reds, the ever popular pink moscato and alternative varieties such as Tempranillo, Verdelho and Viognier. After your tasting, you couldn’t ask for more as you sit down to enjoy your meal and take in the breathtaking, natural beauty that has been bestowed upon this vineyard.
At 1000m above sea level, Symphony Hill Wines is a family-owned boutique winery located in the cool climate Ballandean highlands of Queensland’s Granite Belt. Symphony Hill specialises in high quality wines made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Verdelho, Chardonnay and Viognier grapes proudly grown on the estate. Come and see what the hype is about and sample the wines that are now being served on Qantas Business Class flights.
